Ear and no-touch models give a reading in seconds, which helps with a sleeping or restless child. Ear or forehead?

An ear thermometer needs the tip placed in the ear the way the instructions show; a no-touch forehead model needs no contact at all. Follow the instructions in the box for each reading.
